I don't know for sure, but I think they take the #5 overall team and pair


them with the #4 overall team. And the #6 team with the #3 overall team and so on down to #8 overall and #1 (Gonzaga). So they don't care where #2 seeds end up, only #1 seeds. And I doubt they pay any attention at all to #5 seeds.
